About GAT
GAT is an abbreviation for General Aptitude Test.
The General Aptitude Test (GAT) (Qudrat) has been in use for several years as one of the major tools in selecting students who will be admitted to universities and colleges in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The GAT is no Pass-Fail test. The student can apply for the GAT test 5 times in grade 11 and 12. The result considers the high score. It is available in both Arabic and English. Both of them consist of two sections math and verbal. The test consists of four partitions. All questions are multiple choice, with four answers marked as A, B, C, and D. The test-takers select the answer and mark it on the answer sheet or computer screen. The answers are then electronically scored. The test-takers are required to answer about 100 questions divided into four partitions almost half of them are quantitative and the other half is verbal. Questions alternate between the verbal type and the quantitative type in all four partitions. The duration of every partition is 25 minutes. ( About 25 questions in 25 minutes ). Students should answer questions fast enough to cover all questions in the required time. A student should not leave any question unanswered. It is not allowed to use the calculator while taking the test.
